2009 JUNIOR SAILING PROGRAM

The NSA junior sailing program is an instructional program for junior members who are 9 years old or older. The mission of the junior sailing program is to instill the joy of sailing and to teach sailing and racing skills to the beginner, intermediate, and the more advanced sailor. All sailing classes are taught by certified U.S. Sailing instructors, according to standards and guidelines set by the U.S. Sailing organization. The junior sailors are taught in Hunter 140’s and Vanguard 420’s. Namequoit Sailing Association is located on Keziah’s Lane, Orleans, MA., and the sailing club sits on Frost Fish Cove. We sail on “the River” which opens into Little Pleasant Bay. Classes will run Monday through Friday. two morning classes, one for ages 9-11 and the other for ages 12 and older. two afternoon classes, one for ages 9 –12; the other class for junior sailors who are interested in a racing program. Morning classes 9am to 12 pm. Afternoon classes 1pm to 4pm.
When to enroll: Members wishing to enroll children or grandchildren should submit the application by April 15, to ensure a place. Non-member applications will be accepted after April 15. Also…Please pass along the good word about our junior sailing program to friends and relatives. Word of mouth is our best form of advertising. Openings still available for the 2009 summer season!

Don't forget your NSA t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and sailing bags! On sale at the club on Mondays and Fridays from 12-1 p.m. and at all cookouts and events. All proceeds benefit the Junior Sailing Program.
